Data verbinding Android Auto België

Als ik een route rij over Belgisch grondgebied dan valt mijn data verbinding weg en werkt de navigatie niet meer. Hoe dit op te lossen? Ik lees wel iets over Offline navigeren maar hoe werkt dat precies in de praktijk? moet ik dan bij aanvang van de desbetreffende route al Offline navigeren aanvinken?

A. waarom valt de verbinding weg? Heb je data roaming uit staan? Voor zover ik weet, ondersteunen alle providers tegenwoordig "roam like at home", waarmee je binnen "zone 1" (vrijwel alle Europese landen) tegen dezelfde tarieven belt en data kan gebruiken als in Nederland. Je loopt dus niet (meer, zoals vroeger nog wel eens het geval was) tegen extra kosten aan door in het buitenland je data roaming aan te laten staan.
B. gebeurt dit alleen bij MRA, of hebben andere apps er ook last van (als het vanwege data roaming is, zouden alle apps hier last van moeten hebben).

@Herko-ter-Horst Nou ik heb dit probleem alleen maar als ik over Belgisch grondgebied rijdt. Ben pas naar Oostenrijk geweest maar ook als ik even op de motor een stukje door Duitsland ga heb ik dat probleem nooit. Dus waarom het alleen met het door België wel mis gaat weet ik dus niet

@Mart-g misschien net een klein stukje over de grens. Dan heb ik dat ook wel eens. Als ik verder België in ga is het bij mij opgelost.
@Marinus-van-Deudekom Dat zou goed kunnen want dat gebeurt ook met een telefoongesprek als ik de grens over ga dat wordt de verbinding ook verbroken. En eerlijk gezegd als ik met de motor de grens over ga in België dan rij ik meestal in het grensgebied ga nooit ver België in op de motor. En het is niet alleen met de MRA app ook Google maps heeft dan geen bereik meer.

@Mart-g dat is in ieder geval ook wat ik in het grensgebied ervaar. Je lijkt dus geen probleem te hebben. Je bent alleen slachtoffer van techniek tussen 2 landen.

@Mart-g dat zou ik inderdaad doen. Klik de offline navigation aan en zorg ervoor dat je route ook offline te bereiken is op je toestel.

@Mart-g if we look at TomTom, there is no button to switch to offline maps. It uses only the offline maps, but through the data plan, adds traffic information, road blocks, offers faster routes if heavy traffic, without having to do any settings to the app. If you have internet its ok, it works, if your internet drops, nothing happens, app works flawlessly but there is no traffic info until the internet comes back on. THIS IS HOW THIS APP SHOULD WORK !
Its frustrating to restart the app because there is no more internet, or route recalculations does not work because there is no internet and navigations is stuck .... -

@Adrian-Avram that's exactly why I almost always navigate online. Of there's a chance of heavy traffic on your planned route you might want to look at it again and plan it in a better way

MyRoute-app is targeted mainly at scenic routing. Traffic seldomly is an issue on scenic routes. Many people navigate offline to mitigate battery use. The app is perfectly usable completely offline, with wifi at home only to sync with your planner.
As far as I am concerned the app works just fine when you lose internet connection. You are warned and the app switches to offline mode, and looks every minute or two if the connection is restored again, and if so switches back. I never have to restart the app because of a broken internet connection.
THIS IS HOW THIS APP SHOULD WORK !
It is not up to you how the app should work, it's up to the dev-team. They are not creating a TomTom clone. I think we can do without the negativity.

Saves you a lot of negativity and disillusions about what you think it should be and how it is...
