Did you know

Has helped me immensely with issues I was having with routes that just didn't seem to follow my MRA route.
DID YOU KNOW:
That before you start a route using the Zumo XT (maybe others) that the GPS needs to see at least 3 satellites BEFORE you start a route.?Last weekend I forgot this rule and started the route while the bike was warming up in the garage. And sure enough about 1/2 through the route It started doing some very odd routing. I thought my route had stray shaping points in it. THEN it hit me. I stopped the route while on the road, restarted and entered at the closest point. The route was fine after that.
If you are frustrated that the routes you make and upload to your GPS don't seem the same, make sure your GPS can see and lock on to at least 3 before starting the route. This was a game changer for me

@Greenham Yes I know that's why its in the cupboard

That's why i never start any route direct in front of my frontdoor but some hundred meters further down the road.
That's why i turn on my Zumo XT before starting my bike so it has some time to detect at least 3 satellites.
That's also why i never "fire up" my Zumo XT indoors!
That's why i load a route after turning on my XT and after starting my bike so that everything goes well!

@Nomko-Nomden damn - why did you talk about last secret, we older men have in advantage to younger boys. It's so hard to be competitive, if the bones are getting old
