when will you solve this problem?...
-
You told me months ago but still no news. When will you solve the problem that if I open Myroute from Android auto the navigation doesn't start and I have to stop and start the program on the smartphone? I'm sorry I bought the full version. Even the simplest programs like WAZE do not have these problems.
-
@Albyus sorry, what exactly is the issue?
Android Auto works quite well at this moment for most users. -
@Corjan-Meijerink When I'm on my motorbike and I start MRA from Android auto on my Carpuride, the app starts but the map is completely freeze. I have to use my smartphone, restart the application and then it finally works
-
@Albyus that is most strange. I've used MRA with Android Auto 5 times this week with no problems what do ever. Witch version do you use
-
@Marinus-van-Deudekom 4.3.6 - 382 you use it on the tablet, I use it on Android Auto, Carpuride
-
@Albyus Sorry I did not mention that I used it 5 times laat week in Android Auto in my car, like I said without any problems. We use the same version
-
@Albyus check your app settings in Android so the the app automatically launches AA when connected to a device. I’ve used the new version of the app a few times this week wired and wirelessly in my vow car and my Honda Africa Twin. No issues for me.
-
@Mzokk You haven't understood, the problem is that when I start the application from the AA screen, MRA starts but then remains freezed, so I have to stop, use the smartphone, close the application and reopen it to make it work
-
@Albyus said in when will you solve this problem?...:

Because there are no other reports of this behaviour, maybe you need to uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes a bug can creep in and normally a reinstall cures the problem.
You haven’t said what Android phone you are using.
You could also try to re-establish the Bluetooth connection to your AndroidAuto device -
@Nick-Carthew https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/8160/problemi-di-avvio-applicazione?_=1739009632905 I don't think I'm the only one with this problem, however I use Carpuride and OPPO Find 5X as my phone
-
@Albyus Ah! Got it. No I haven't had that problem at all.
-
@Albyus Thank you for the update.
Can you try to re-install the app and also delete and re-establish the Bluetooth connection between your phone and Carpuride. -
@Nick-Carthew ok, I reinstalled the application, then I disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth and I'll tell you
-
It might also be worth to take a look at the permissions. In my setup (smartphone + Carpuride), I started having problems someday when initializing app usage via my Carpuride device; it turned out that my smartphone had downgraded some of MyRoute-app's permissions automatically from "always" to "while the app is used" - as soon as I re-set them (and particularly the location permission) to always, the "freezing problems" disappeared immediately.
-
@peha that could explain the behavior mentioned. Good tip
-
@peha that's the first thing I obviously checked
-
Does positione (location) posess the right to "always" access location?

Hi
I have a carpuride w702 and a samsung galaxy a53 running android 14.With my phone locked I powered up the carpuride, waited for android auto to connect and then started MyRouteApp. I was able to search, pick a recent destination and start to navigate.
As I couldn't find this anywhere else I have started a list of things to do when setting up my phone. Maybe there is something here that might help:-
Android phone:-
• Text to Voice settings. Make sure it’s “Google TTS”MyRouteApp:–
• Account – Offline Maps – DOWNLOAD MAPS THAT COVER YOUR EXPECTED ROUTE
• Routes & Tracklogs – 3 dots menu – Sync all my routes - ONAndroid Settings - App Info:-
• Remove app permissions if app is unused - OFF
• Battery – OPTIMISED
• Mobile Data – Allow background data usage - ON
• Ensure pause activity is off
• Permissions
◦ Location – ALLOW ALL THE TIME
◦ Pause app activity if unused - OFFGeneral:-
• Connect headset to phone.
• Need to use phone handset for zoom and panning. -
I suddenly had the same problem yesterday. Going to an entered address with route there was no problem at all but when I drove back, to my home address and I chose this also as route, the cursor both in MRA and in Android car indeed stayed at the place where I left. Like the map was frozen. A few hundred metres down the road I pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the route and restarted it again and then it worked as normal. I entered my home address as a favourite and when I chose this as my destination I was given three choices for the route. Selected one of these and started this route. Route was displayed and calculated nicely. Only when I started driving, the cursor in Android Auto stayed on the starting point.
