Route instruction error

I have recently returned from a 4 week ride/drive trip to Spain. The navigation worked very well except for one thing. The roundabout audible instructions, as well as the number in the roundabout graphic, was incorrect probably 1 out of 3 times. The graphic was always correct. Is this an issue with Myroute or the resident map that is used?

This is not a major problem although it did result in taking the wrong exit at times when on the bike as I was concentrating on the road/traffic rather than looking at the graphic. In the car, not so much of a problem.

Just a question to clear things out: you're using the Next app?

I know there are plenty topics here referring to the same issue/problem/question. Just look them up and read them for yourself. It might clear up 1 or 2 things.

In short yes there is an issue with roundabouts.

@Rod-Sydenham @Nomko-Nomden To be honest, I am of the opinion that this has already been resolved... Just don't ask me from which version onwards. You might want to check if you have the most recent version active. I just have no idea what the last public release was.

The issue did also occur in a version of the offline maps.
Might be wise to check if you've got an update available for that too

Using Next navigation.
Version 4.3.3-336 of the My route App.
Navigating in offline mode using offline maps.
Everything was updated (maps and app) in early September, a week before my trip.

I did a bit of a search but English is my only language so I may have missed it. I will keep looking.

Have to say I found the audible instructions & small roundabout graphic counter to be pretty accurate most of the time, they were always consistent & agreed with each other. Was using version 4.3.1 - 336 also in offline mode.

It was not perfect but it was more the odd occasion where the number of exits was a bit obscure or not totally obvious, a driveway abutting the roundabout, a partially new constructed exit or a junction semi staggered just off the roundabout that caused me any confusion.

Either way the issue I would say was with the resident Here mapping data & not an MRA bug

If you could provide some example locations it might be possible to check / confirm this

We had a great ride in Asturias and Galicia. Wore out a set of tires!!
My issues with the navigation and roundabouts was similar to yours I think. Certainly a minority of the time. I am not certain I can come up with the exact locations but I will see what I can do. What I did notice was the number of the exit to take did not match the graphic at times. The graphic was pretty much always correct. So, like you say, it may be a matter of counting/not counting some smaller paths that may, or may not, have been considered exits. I found it more of an issue on the bike than in the car as I rely more on the audible instructions on the bike. In the car I had a good look at the graphic as I approached the roundabouts so I had a picture of where to go.
Overall, I was happy with the way the app performed.
The issues I encountered are certainly not enough for me to give up on it.
