How to deal with unexpected roadblocks?

On a lot of my rides I enconture roadblocks - not by means of scheduled road works but closures because of accidents, local bicycle racing, short, few hours long road works, etc... I do think that "garmin style" detour for next x km would be greatly appriciated. Maybe even also a "garmin style" by blocking certain road by it's number. I currently assesing the MRA app in order to ditch Garmin and use this app instead so this detour handling is still a question mark...
