Way Points using CarPlay
-
Hi,
I have never used My-route Navigation using my phone rather a Garmin device. I have now started using my phone connected to a CarPlay device on my bike. The information on waypoints (hand icon) is displayed on the Garmin, but you don't get anything on the CarPlay version, so cafe's etc can be ridden past without knowing. Im I doing something wrong, or is this how the app behaves on car play. -
@Peter-Schiefer The lack of information about Viapoint is currently the biggest shortcoming in MRA. Whether on the mobile or in CP. This problem has been mentioned several times but unfortunately has not yet been resolved in an update. I am currently traveling in France and unfortunately it bothers me every day. Unfortunately, the information about upcoming Viapoints was removed for some inexplicable reason about a year ago.
Greetings from France, Edgar -
@Peter-Schiefer Thank you for that very comprehensive information Peter

@Edgar-Hofer Thanks Edgar

Not everyone shares the same priorities. In my opinion I get plenty information on upcoming waypoints. Distance, duration, a color category, the name comes on in display, even self entered text can be read aloud...

@Peter-Schiefer, I think that would have to be improved by the TTS engine developer. I must say that, although it sometimes sounds very funny, I seldom have a problem understanding names. Some regions will always be problematic in that regard. check for example the names Lüttich, Luik, Liège, all seen on the road signs within a diameter of 25km for one and the same city

@Con-Hennekens I must have a different version of MRA. My CP shows absolutely no information about upcoming waypoints. No distance, no names, etc. I'll have to check the version.

@Edgar-Hofer, I am sorry, I was referring to the app itself. I missed the carply part.
