And in the meantime I am installing version 20240819-V1.0.4. Then looking for the new functionalities and improvements. I had already read that the CRN can now also import waypoints in stead of only anchor points. I am curious....

I have been importing waypoints on CRN for 2 months using GPX1.1, had never tried it before. Initially input shows straight lines between waypoints, but when you start navigation it works out a proper route
Note I am getting very risk adverse in my old age. Now I take a Tom Tom, MRA and CRN on trips in case something goes wrong. Although with only 1 mobile phone there is a common risk factor to 2 of those -

I export my MRA-route now as a 1.1 gpx, but new to this release is that you can choose during import in the CRN wether you want to import the route with anchor points (steunpunten) not visible as you stated and/or with waypoints (routepunten) visible incl. audio warning and/or tracks. In the precious version, I had to import the routes in the BMW-app en convert it to a route with waypoints. Now al can be done in the CRN.
I also noticed that the CRN calculates the route much faster, especially if the route is several hunderds km away from where you are. I opened a ticket for this issue a few months ago which apparently has been solved.
let's see next week when a go for a 8 day trip to the Jura in France.
BTW: my buddy has a tomtom so I can spare some space -
@Hubert-Thoring No definitely not.
In the general discussion, questions like these are absolutely fine.@Dirk-007 Thanks for asking
And indeed, please try to respond in the original language as started by OP

I gave up on Translate some time ago. Too many details get lost in translation. Deepl does a much better job (imho) and is context sensitive too.

Well, imho English is sort of special. The 'same language' thing is mainly intended to prevent users answering i.e. Dutch on a thread started in German.
In any case, answering in English while also putting out a translated version of your text, would be much appreciated in threads started in languages other than English.

I just installed the new update and want to test it, but I can't get my CRN connected to my MacBook Pro. I saw in a presentation of Hans that he did manage to get this work. for the update I imported routes from the mra app to the connected app and convert it in waypoint.
but now I want to try it the new easy way with the crn connected with the pc.. I tried different ports and cables. even the original one.
does someone have this same problem? or do I need to install a program for this?
hope someone can help

I save my my routes to a Microsoft or Google cloud drive, and can pick them up in CRN from there. Being an Android user the Google drive works best

@Dirk-007 I don't know what I can do more with a device like that, my MacBook Pro isn't really new. so I have an usb A port on it. with the usb A to usb C cable that was included in the CRN box I tried It and I tried it with almost every other usb a to c cable haha
@Tony-13
Yeah, i do it the same way for now only with the iPhone myroutes app and the connected ride app from bwm. this will sync due my bmw id to my crn.its a bit complicated as you see, that why I hoped I can connect it to my laptop but unfortunately that doesn't work
