Can’t calculate route offline

Hi, I’m currently touring Europe & have downloaded the counties to use offline on my old iPhone when I’m on WiFi, I download routes to old phone no problem but when I set off, the phone says ‘can’t calculate route’ ? So I have to tether it to my new iPhone constantly for it to work, I toured France earlier in the year no problem offline, has anything changed in the update perhaps? The old phone is running latest iOS version.

@Ken-Cherry should work indeed! Quite a crucial feature

Only thing required is GPS so maybe that is turned off initially? Otherwise best to contact our support and include your logs (long press the version number on the bottom of your profile page in the app)

@Ken-Cherry I had the same yesterday and i tried to get my route off-line. Then i found that not al my off-line cards where downloaded en updated. update them and everything worked like a charm . So check if youre cards are up to date (even the regions within the cards)

i always use the navigation in offline mode, for me it is much more stable,
i have recently rode a week around the Scottish Highlands and not once found the need to go online.
anyway,
i will give you my experience when i first started to use offline mode.
obvioulsy offline navigation is enabled, (not actually sure if this makes a difference, @Con-Hennekens has good knowledge of this)

click on the route you wish to navigate, you will then have the next screen, with start in yellow, do not click that until the map and route are visible, once they are you then click start. all should work fine.

i hope this works for you, it sorted my problem out when i had your issues stated above.

@Corjan-Meijerink ok so I’ve checked all the phone settings & all locations are on, precise locations are on and motion tracking also. I’ve updated all the maps I’m using as suggested thank you, then rebooted phone, the route downloads to the phone fine when I log into my account, then as soon as you start moving, it still says can’t calculate route in offline mode, I’ve toggled offline on & off several times too, I have to keep it tethered to my new phone constantly all day for it to work, what am I missing?
