Zumo 360LM route not importing
-
Hi all - I've created a number of routes (Calais to Lux) most are importing without an issue, but two I'm getting an error message: 'Cannot save' name of route. I've checked I'm using HERE maps for Garmin, it's got less than 30 waypoints, the route is only 136mile long, I even deleted the original route in myrouteapp and started from scratch! I'm also using Garmin 1.0 old - for my Garmin from the drop down menu in MRA when exporting to my Satnav. So I'm at a loss, especially as other routes have saved? any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi @Chris-Bush The easiest way to find the answer is if you can share the routes, make sure the privacy is set to public.

The 390LM will also take GPX1.1 files. You could try that? I have a 340lm and 390lm and haven't had any issues importing routes (Yet!). With a USB c to USB A adapter plugged into your (android) phone you can plug those Garmins into your phone and transfer routes directly into the GPX folder on the device (it appears as mass storage) for routes you create while on the road.

Hi Nick - thanks - I've set the route to public, so hopefully you can take a look. Many thanks for your help..

@Chris-Bush You can Share it here with a link.
Maybe you've some extra characters in the name like[{~*#+ etc -
@Chris-Bush Copy the URL (web address) of your route and paste it in a reply.

@Chris-Bush Hi Chris
The start and finish are not ON the route as is shaping point 3. Maybe that's the reason why you're having trouble.
The name of the route seems to be good but maybe your 360 is having trouble with the combination of 01 02 at the beginning. You could try saving the route without the numbers and see where that get's you -

Thank you for sharing your route. As @Marinus-van-Deudekom said, maybe your Zumo is struggling with the combination of numbers, I can’t see any other reason why the Zumo doesn’t like it. Also; you said in your original post that the route was 130 miles, the shared route is only 55 miles.

@Chris-Bush Hi Chris I imported the route into my Zumo 390 and it did not like it. I opened it in Basecamp and removed the 01 02 before the text and it calculated fine. If you change the name in Myroute app to Bouillon to Virton it should calculate fine. I imported the route and track into basecamp and changed the route and track names and it calculated.
