I am a returning user and seem to recall that previously there was a way to "travel" a route using Streetview images to quickly and easily determine the types of roads you might encounter. I used this as I wanted to avoid single track roads or dirt tracks for instance.
Is this feature still available? Or am I mixing it up with some other site that I used to use? I have a Gold membership by the way
Thanks

@Paul-Slater-0 yes Paul it is still available with the Gold licence. Use the Here satelite of hybrid map

@Paul-Slater-0 Google StreetView is available for Gold subscriptions, click on the little man and then click on the road that you want to see.

But in any case, I know I can click manually anywhere in the route to see the Streetview image but what I seem to recall is something like this video from elsewhere, where you can sit back and "drive" the route rather than having the manually click all along the route

Something like this (from a different site, but you'll get the idea):

@Paul-Slater-0 The website has the same option. Have you tried the Animate option? This will simulate your route and include any notes and photos attached to the route points.

Thanks Nick - as far as I can determine the Animate option only does a top-down (birds-eye view) of the route, not a series of Streetview images every "x" kilometres or something

@Paul-Slater-0 Correct, but it will show Streetview photos if you have added them to a route point.
