    When I select a route, we should be able to deviate from the path without triggering automatic recalculation. Similarly, if we bypass a waypoint, we should be able to remove it without the app forcing us to turn back.

      That's a typical Garmin user's request 😉
      If the rerouted suggestion is not to your liking, you can easily ignore it. To me it makes no sense to use a navigation app for a pre-planned route that stops functioning when you (need to) deviate.

      I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

        And further to what @Con-Hennekens has said, skipping a missed route point is easy, no need to turn back.
