Detailed lane assist kicks in too early

I've ran into an issue with detailed lane assist.
It kicks in too early, seems like 1.5km, even if there is multiple roundabouts or intersections before I hit the intersection/road where it's aware of the lanes.
This causes it to block most of the screen showing lane info that is not yet relevant rather than the nearest roundabout or intersection.I suspect it is because its lane aware of the big roads near me, but not the local roads. I'm on android and think I'm on version 4.0.4-216 if found the right number in the app.

I had exactly the same problem with the size of the lane assist and wrote a post about that in Dutch....See https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/34487 and translate it into English.
