The MyRoute-App where is the functionality of Navigation route record?
-
I use MRA Navigation on Android to record trips lead by other riders without setting a destination and to learn the road names as I am new to the area.
Navigation shows me the current road name at the top and my location on the map. It seems to me the functionality is not there in MRA Next the map doesn't update as I travel and eventually goes to sleep (blank) and where the current road was displayed (it is turned on in screen layout) at the top it always shows 'MyRoute-app'.
It does save the route. If I set a destination, this all seems to work!

If I understand your query correctly, you just open the MRA map, hit record (red button, it will turn green) and ride... when you're finished, hit the green button, it'll give you the option to save your track log etc...

@Daryl-Saunders, like @Frappawotsit says. It was already in the app before Next was a part of it

@Frappawotsit in your screen capture. No road name at the top? When you travel it doesn't update the screen. No speed detail at bottom!

@Daryl-Saunders Click the 3 horizontal lines top left.
Choose a route and then click navigate. -
@Daryl-Saunders, No there is no route-less navigation in the app, currently. You can however press the compass, the map will stay centered to the flyer. Tracking is totally possible this way. You are not the first one asking for free-driving navigation. It is already on the Dev teams list.
