Bought Navigation Next, still need to shell out for Silver etc to get POIs etc?
-
I purchased the lifetime Nagivation lifetime in the sale, but find that in both the Web ROuteLab as well as the Mobile one, access to pois require me to buy the subscription?
That wasn't made clear and feels very wrong.

Even 'find routes nearby." etc require silver. So basically all useful planner functions are still denied me. I may cancel that purchase again.
-
@sejtam Well, buying the Navigation Next lifetime subscription provides you access to all Navigation features.
These features you mention are part of the routeplanner features. Not the answer you wanted to hear, but yet it is what it is.
Take a look at the table: https://www.myrouteapp.com/nl/shop by clicking on the indicated red arrow in my screenshot below.
You'll see all the features Vs it's required subscription.
-
yeah. But that should have been made clearer.
I really HATE apps/sites that hide the facts (eg i the sales pitch for the navigation app) that the planner features are NOT imcluded.
Deceptive in my view
-
@sejtam I am sure that if you create a support ticket and explain your mistake you will probably get a refund.
I disagree with you regarding your deceptive comment.
All of the information is clearly available to read. -
@sejtam, I think the website is very clear in this regard:
I don't understand that someone who buys a navigation tool, expects to get a planner tool. For most users, the navigation app is the cherry on the cake for people already using the MRA planner tool. I get it, that if it's your first introduction to MRA, it might be somewhat confusing, but if multiple subscriptions are available it's a good habit to check them all out. Rest assured there is NO SINGLE navigation tool that is so friendly to use with MRA Routeplanner as MRA Navigation.

@Con-Hennekens To me being able to follow a route does mean that i expect that I can design a route to my needs. I don't expect all bells and whistles, but a useful few. As it is the planning part seems very limited w/o purchasing subscriptions
Also, it claims to be the best routing tool.
I have today already found two start/end points it just claims that it cannot find a route and i should 'place the marker on the road'(after using ones I found using search)
(and no other insication of where the issue is. I can move the markers (hands) to a road but still the same issue
Using the exact same using Calimoto I get a route just fine -

but then I cannot easily re-edit the parameters to add intermediate points or move the starting point, unless I turn the route into a track with hundreds of waypoints first. or to START OVER which means I have to search my start and end points again )once it managed to find a route, I can just use that or start over, not edit my input)
clearly this is not the best routing or planning app

Can I suggest that you spend a little time getting accustomed to the RoutePlanner before bad mouthing it.
I am reminded of the saying: a poor workman always blames his tools! Can I also suggest that you try making a new route rather than using the route generator tool.
-
@sejtam, I was able to generate a route using your suggested locations:
I see you picked 2 places more then 600km apart. I think it is a limitation for the routegenerator to create routes longer than about 600km in between 2 waypoints, but I am not exactly sure of that.

Following a route is not the same as designing a route. I am sorry if that does not correspond to how you think about that. Having a FREE planner account AND a paid Navigation subscription allows you even to use the HERE map in the planner tool. Many users use that combination for everything they wish to use concerning their navigation. MRA is doing their best to keep things as cheap as possible for their users and thanked for that by many. It is not so uncommon to "shell out" for extra options if you want them.
I think it is unfair to call for deception if you did not read the information yourself. Also it looks like you are comparing the premium package for Calimoto of € 50,- a year, with ONLY MRA's navigation subscription of just 17,10 a year... I f you take the Gold subscription on the planner, it costs about the same as the Calimoto package.
