Animation

Re: Animation
I had a look at the animation function today after reading a thread here explaining the reason behind its existence and how to use it.
I have saved a couple of routes but cannot really see how they would be benificial to me.
I have used a 3rd party app which converted all my waypoints into a neat animation which covered the route quite quickly showing the complete map (and not the PC window). That I have used.
I think that the animation function has potential but would love to see it better enhanced.

What have you used as 3rd party app?

@Nick-Dawson
It might matter what your exact purpose is with the animation.
MRA Animation eventually shows the same route (or track) as you made it. Does the app you used do that?
The animation you make with MRA Animation can be exported as MP4.
If you do want to use MRA Animation, it is useful to read the support article.
Manual MRA Animate for routes
Manual MRA Animate for tracklogsYou have to take this into account:
only the latest version of Google Chrome is currently supported to record the animation. -

@Skellum @Nick Dawson
Probably the other app is Recycle.In my experience with MRA Animation I found it a bit laggy using the built in recorder.
I found it performed much better just running the Animation and recording with the built in Screen Recorder on my iPad Pro or Camtasia Studio on my Laptop. -

@Skellum the application is called Travel Boast.
The demo version is limited however the full (paid up) version allows you to use your existing files and it then animates the full route.
If I remembered how to attach a file here I would do so as I have the route from NordKapp to Kristiansand animated using this app.
It is pretty good and for the purposes of showing the full route on a multi day trip to friends or clients it is excellent.

@Nick-Dawson Am I correct that it only works on IOS/ Android?
-
@Inge-Bakermans I can confirm that it works on Android - not sure about ios
-
@Inge-Bakermans the end result is an video file (MP4) which you can use where you like.

@Nick-Dawson Thanks Nick - just do not like doing these things on my phone - like to use my laptop for that. For now will just keep using my editing programme.
