Hi all!

Thanks for your contribution to the development of this app! Without your input, feedback and suggestions the app would never get to the level we want it to be

The upcoming update will be available before the weekend! So please keep patient. All existing testers will automatically receive the update on TestFlight / Play store. If you enrolled for the test program but haven't received the invitation yet, no worries! I'll process your enrolment shortly.

The majority of all messages were suggestions - but there were still some critical issues. The focus of this update therefore was mainly to fix these issues. What is the fun in adding new features if some Android users are still not able to launch the Navigation module

Android crash
The most serious issue that still exists was the fact that numerous Android users were not able to even start the Navigation module. To those helping us in resolving the issue, thanks!
We recommend all Android users to completely uninstall the existing app - clear cache from the Android app settings - install again. We are quite confident that the issue is resolved but if this is not the case for you, do let us know!

Skipping waypoints
Another frustrating issue was that waypoints could quite often not be skipped. This has been improved beyond imagination The entire route calculation has been improved including navigation to a specific waypoint

Missing instructions
When loading the route while sitting on the couch, no instructions were shown. When only slightly offroad of a missing GPS signal - again, the instructions were lost. The tree (or "christmas theme" as a user called it) and satellite icon are gone for good. You now either have instructions or the app is calculating The faster we deliver the information to you, the more satisfied you are and therefore we are too!

Unclear instructions
We haven't yet touched the lane specific instructions but we did improve on the vague "stay right" or "stay left" instructions. We now show what road name / number you need to follow including the heading which should match the destinations shown on the road signs. It's a first iteration in our process of continuous improvements. Please do continue to provide us with feedback

Trailing location indicator
Another logical frustration to you was that the location on your screen would trail behind your actual position. This update includes a first iteration towards solving the problem. More specifically: on low speeds / at roundabouts a significant improvement should be noticed. On long straight sections, we are still aware that the issue persists and will continue improving this. Also (sadly) we notice that iOS is much more detailed than Android - meaning that Android users will be more likely to experience this issue. If you however enable the background tracking (simply start recording a tracklog), the issue is slightly less . Regardless: we will keep improving.

New features
Above we listed fixes to existing issues. But we also added some new stuff!

Routing screen
When opening a route in the Navigation module you were very limited in options. This screen will get an entire remake once we implement even more options (such as using specific avoid options etc) but for now we added the following:

Show calculation using your current position or not
Long press a waypoint to select that as your starting point
Show the selected pause icon for that waypoint (if present), this is now also shown when navigating.

Within the Navigation preferences you can now turn on / off the voice prompt for reaching a waypoint. You can distinguish between shaping and via points

Camera UI
For those taking pictures - we felt that the camera UI was not pretty enough. We now created a fresh and brand new look to blow you away

Route progress
When driving a route, the part behind you will now be greyed out! A nice little detail which will be much loved.

Minor remarks

Maps updated to latest version
Increased icon sizes of waypoints
Stability improvements
Translation issues

Even more....I just cannot remember any more

Where to from here?
The entire month februari will be dedicated to CarPlay. We are still aiming for a release include CarPlay in that month but we were slightly delayed by some complexities in this update.
On the side, we will always continue to implement some community requests and fix important issues.

@Corjan-Meijerink Many Thanks - very usefull summary for 3.2.6. Is the info also available for 3.2.5 … 3.2.4 etc… on this forum? OR the accouncements Update Progress and New Beta version are both the complete picture?

Tested opening routes on Android for an hour.
Not a single crash so far.

I can confirm this has fixed the crashing but you do have to clear cache if you just uninstall the app it will crash if the cache is not cleared.

@Vince-Hyde Thanks for indeed confirming that! We did explicitly mention that but I can understand it is slightly lost in the long message

Thank you for good news! I can see still 3.2.5 in my iphone, new version should apear in testflight automatically?

Will appear automatically in TestFlight yes! Apple still needs to review it unfortunately, we never really know how long it takes. Sometimes a hour or two and sometimes more than a day. Unfortunately it is taking slightly longer than we hoped for.

The upcoming update will be available before the weekend!

Lets hope that the statement above is still correct

It "looks like" my crashing has gone too! I will be extremely happy if it really is, but will need to gain a bit more trust in that For me this means I can actually start betatesting...
