Zumo XT routing issue with 1.2

@Larry-Stayner-0 If you use the GPX 1.2 version the new calculation at the GarminXT must switched off.
@Reinhard-32 I am pretty sure mine is set to no calculation for off route if that is what you mean.

I recently finished a 6 day trip using MRA downloads. I used the 1.2 download and exported my routes to Garmin Drive. Day 1 the route was flawless. Day 2 1.2 would only instruct turns 4 or 4 times on a 400 mile route with many more turns. I found myself doing a U-Turn several times. Day 3 the route was flawless again. Day 4 I had the same issue as Day 2. Day 5, I downloaded the gpx file as a 1.1 to compare how it would route me. My route in 1.2 was still missing a lot of turns where the 1.1 was almost perfect with the exception of two turns at the same location. Day 6 I went with a 1.1 file and it performed perfect. Am I doing something wrong with the 1.2 download that I am getting erratic routing?

This can have various causes, such as not enough satellite connections (at least 3), how far are you from the starting point of your route, which point have you selected to start, do you start your route inside the garage? With all these examples, the zumo can start calculating and adjust your route@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master I was in the Tennessee USA in the country with no interferences. It started right after I left my starting point and continued throughout the ride. I restarted the route several times using the closest entry point. I had recalculation set to manual. What was interesting is that the next day, the route was flawless.

If you are using the gpx 1.2, you must turn off route recalculation on the Zumo XT

8 routepoints for 600kmBut I guess that the reason is that there are non viapoints in the route except the start and end.

A gpx 1.2 needs viapoints in the route@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master Thank you for the information. Since I am currently just a basic member, OSM is my only option. I am weighing the advantages of being a gold member to get the Garmin maps. Actually watching a YouTube video of Serge explaining the differences.

(edited)@sudolea That was day 2. Unfortunately, I already added a bunch more waypoints to day 4 when we got to our destination.
