Pay for beta?

It seems like some people just don’t want to understand. Apparently, reading is really difficult.

@Arjan-de-Vries the €49 is for early access, a badge on your profile, but to me most important, Lifetime group rides and working with others on the same route
working with others on the same route
Hey @marinus-van-deudekom, do you know if only one user needs the new license, or if everyone working on the same route needs to purchase it?

Even though I'm not a beta tester, I'd like to share some feedback.
First, the new features shown in the video look great, and I'm looking forward to using them on my next big trip.
My feedback is mainly about the communication around the launch. Communication is always challenging, especially when introducing significant changes to a product.
As a long-time software customer, I understand the industry's shift from one-time purchases (on media, run only locally on own hardware) to cloud-based subscription models and the ongoing costs associated with running online services. That's also why I tend to purchase lifetime subscriptions when they are offered.
In the video, you explained that you intend to honor existing lifetime subscriptions and meet the expectations of those customers. Thank you for clarifying that.
However, when I first read the email announcement, I interpreted Routeplanner Next as almost being a new product rather than an evolution of the existing Routeplanner. With some companies, that would mean the new platform receives all future development while existing customers remain on a legacy product with limited or no new features.
After watching the video, I understand that this is not your intention. The video completely addressed my concern.
This is why communication can be so difficult: the information you shared between 1:50 and 3:30 in the video was exactly what I needed to hear. If that message had also been included in the email, I would not have been concerned in the first place.
Overall, I'm excited about the new features and appreciate the clarification.

I am a Gold member, but I no longer own a motorcycle. I cycle a lot and frequently download cycling routes that I find online. I always review these downloaded routes using MRA, making corrections or adjustments—most notably, I often change the starting location. Given how I use the platform, is it worth it for me to pay the €49 fee (aside from the fact that it supports the developers), or would it serve no real purpose for my needs?

@Adrian-Avram if you want to work on the same route both must have the extra add on

Can somebody explain to mae why we have to pay for the beta myroute app planner coming november 2nd? I am a gold member and I understand I have to pay 49 Euros to get access.
Is the big public update free of charge for goldmembers?
So why should we pay 49 euros now? (just an open question, no critisism)Let me know your thoughts (or the answer)

@Peter-Bijnsdorp, If you do not work together on routes or fancy grouprides (see eachother on the map while riding) I don't think there is much to win with buying beta access. It does not matter if you use it for cycling or for motorbiking. If you also use the navigation app, you might be in for a surprise though, concerning cycling, when the public V6 comes out...

Thank you Bjorn... you got the exact misunderstanding that I did.... I only had the email and I understood it the same way...its a new product... and we're going to phase out the old one....
I didn't know about the video.
I still have a few questions...but I will try to find the answers on my own.
Nick, THANK YOU for the video and being helpful. It is much appreciated.
Rob and CD130, you could have been helpful like Nick, but you chose to be negative and condescending. Shame on you. Not everyone is an expert.

That’s mainly because people immediately start whining instead of making an effort to look up the information themselves first. The information was already readily available long before you posted. And when you read yet another negative post about the same thing, well, sometimes the reaction is equally harsh! No hard feelings.
