    Greetings,

Now let me start by saying I really like the app and it is better than any other rider focused app so far.
    I have the lifetime plan.

Here are some gripes I have:

    • Voice: This is where other apps beat it. Not only Google and Apple, but many others. Robot Voices are a thing of the past. Now it still works, but sometimes it is just harder to understand, especially when numbers are read as one thousand thirty three, when other apps just say ten three three or similar.
    • Ability to quickly disable street name announcing and only give turn by turn commands.
    • Map display and animation contrast: Google, Apple and Calimoto have a lot better contrast, general animation and layout. I still prefer MRA as it shows more info (if you select them) but the basic contrast of streets and POIs near you is lacking and why sometimes I switch to Google when getting into a town I have to cross and switch back to MRA when on open roads.
    • Maybe I missed that, but a PAUSE button would be great. I know you can stop routing and resume, but a simple pause the route you are on, search for a restaurant quickly, navigate there and then resume the original route would be a godsend. No Appl can do that and that would be awesome. My current workaround is stop MRA, use Google Maps to find the POI I need, go there and then switch back. (Yes I know you could also add a waypoint, but I want to preserve the original route for later uses.)

Now this is still my favorite routing app, but I hope you find my suggestions helpful and keep up the great work you guys do.

    Regards
    Hoshi

      Maybe I miss a point too 🙂
      Why do you want this?
I just switch to another app, do what I want, and then return (switch active app) back to MRA.

      Best regards, Makro

        @Makro
        Exactly, you switch the app.
I would like to pause a current route, on the fly navigate to a POI and then switch back to the route I paused. So I do not need to switch out of the MRA. I know the workaround is simple, but I would just like to do all my routing in MRA.

@Thomas-Mikl during navigating a route you can open the navigation menu and tap Add stop. Locate your POI with the search box and add it as a stop. Your POI will now be added to your route.

You can change the voice that MRA uses through the apps settings menu, the voice I use is Serena (premium)

@Thomas-Mikl, The voices are OS and often also phone type dependent. You can only select voices that are available on your phone. Android users are able to install additional TTS apps and voices accordingly. Personally however, I have absolutely no problem with "robotic" voices, on any of my phones.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

If you are using an iPhone, here are the instructions to find the voices.
To find and enable the Serena Premium voice, you need to access your iPhone's Spoken Content or VoiceOver settings. This will let your device use the Serena voice for accessibility features or third-party navigation apps
Here is where you can find and download it:

                    1. Open your iPhone Settings.
                    2. Scroll down and tap Accessibility.
                    3. Select Spoken Content (or VoiceOver, depending on your settings).
                    4. Tap Voices.
                    5. Choose your language (e.g., English).
                    6. Tap Serena (or any other of the voices that you wish to use) then select Premium.
                    7. Tap the Download icon next to it.
Once downloaded, you can tap it to set it as your primary or system-wide voice.
