@hubert-thoring Unfortunately that didn't help, cooling the phone by sprinkling water on cooled it pretty fast! You could see the water evaporating.
@travellexxie Maybe the 8 cil Chinese boxer will have that, I'll keep an eye on it! -
Apparently the crash problem depends on whether you're online or offline... let's hope they fix it soon...

Maybe, but I don't think it is that simple. I never had crashes while navigating online. So I think there should be at least another factor. I did have some problems with the app while online navigating, when the iPhone was very hot. It reacted very slowly, did not load the map smoothly. After cooling the iPhone it worked fine. Maybe online navigating puts a heavier load on the phone, when very hot it might cause more problems like the above, or even causes it to crash.

Even een positief bericht over de app icm CarPlay.
10 daagse trip naar de Pyreneeën, iPhone 14 Honda Goldwing met CarPlay bedraad, offline navigeren.
Het was bloedheet, tot het moment dat de telefoon uitviel door de hitte werkte de app perfect.
Carplaydraad zit in de topkoffer, denk dat het daarin wel kooktemperatuur werd. Telefoon was bijna niet aan te pakken zo heet was ie.
1 x viel de app zomaar uit, paar drukjes op de knoppen en het werkte weer.
Nu nog iets verzinnen om de topkoffer/telefoon wat koeler te houden… En in ieder geval de oude Montana met de tracks als backup meenemen, anders heb je toch een probleem…Nu nog iets verzinnen om de topkoffer/telefoon wat koeler te houden…
Hier en daar wat ventilatie sleuven aanbrengen misschien?
En sowieso is een topkoffer geen ideale plek om je mobiel in op te bergen, vooral niet in een snikhete zomer!Kan je nergens op jouw Goldwing een houder plaatsen voor jouw mobiel/Carplay zodat ie wat meer in de rijwind zit?

Het probleem van oververhitting van de telefoon heeft zich vooralsnog alleen voorgedaan bij extreme warmte, >36 gr. Vorig jaar een soortgelijke trip naar de balkan, daar met 30-32 gr. geen enkele uitval door hitte gehad.
Ik heb een 12 Volt ventilatortje liggen, daar maak ik even een aansluiting voor. Wie weet helpt de circulatie net genoeg.
Sleuven maken in de Goldwing vind ik een beetje zonde, hoewel dat waarschijnlijk wel de beste manier is!
Op het stuur zit ie heerlijk uit de rijwind en wel in de volle zon, daarbij wil ik de telefoon niet op het stuur. Zit de Garmin ook al.
