Editing saved route
-
Hi,
I can't seem to find a way to edit a route I once created, do I really need to start from scratch? I only seem to be able to share, comment or delete the route.I'm used to the scenic app which lets me edit and even create a copy if I want to keep the original route.

@KevN1k-0 Open the route and tap the pencil icon to edit.

@KevN1k-0, Did you lock your route by any chance?

@Nick-Carthew right, it was too simple for me to notice lol. How about the map layer in the app? I don’t see all the options that is on the web version and it kinda screwed with my route editing from the app versus editing on the web, by default the web was on OSM and I can’t find what the app is on but it looks like HERE maps, if i get gold membership where would i find the google maps layer in the app or is that only for the web? Lots of confusion.

@KevN1k-0 There are two types of maps, planning maps and overlay maps. Planning maps do all route calculations. Each of the 3 planning maps OSM, TomTom and HERE have their own unique algorithm used to calculate which roads to use. It is important to use the correct planning map that best suits your navigation device. If you use a TomTom navigation device you should plan your routes using the TomTom planning map. The planning map from HERE should be used for Garmin devices and MRA Navigation Next. Some navigation apps like Calimoto use the OSM map. Overlay maps like Google or Michelin have no effect on route calculations, think of them as clear sheets with extra information that you lay over the top of a planning map.
