No roads found when trying to navigate route in Japan

I am currently riding in Japan. I made routes in the MRA planner prior and all roads showed in the map. Now I am here the route displays in the App but just a few roads display and they are all broken, as in bits of a highway show not the entire highway.

Is there something I am not doing. I have not had this problem navigating with the app in other countries.

Thanks Nick. It has left me in a bit of a jam, I thought well it surely must be able to use OSM. So are there other countries that are like this? I don't want to caught out like this again.

@warren.mallettoutlook.com I don’t think Asia is very well mapped by HERE but I could be wrong.

Also South Korea is a blank canvas in HERE
parts I walked there where in the sea according to HERE, so MRA does not indicates the country.
The navigation app from MRA is not usable over there, only some main roads are mapped.

MRA Navigation only works on HERE

As i Saïd if osm works then switch to osm. There are a lot options to use osm apps.

@Bouke-Ent you literally cannot use OSM in our app for navigation. It’s built with HERE.

@warren.mallettoutlook.com if you purchased our app for these regions specifically. Please contact support for a possible refund.

HERE indeed has poor coverage in some regions. For us not a big deal as we don’t really have customers there (just the honest answer)

Osm can be used in a lot of osm apps like osmand, kurviger, and many more.

Guess something just got lost in your translation.
“Switch to OSM” implies something else than “Switch to another app with OSM”.

I agree that using another app in this situation is better.

Mra next does not support osm maps. So if osm works then switch to osm. It is very clear. I love mra and mra next but There are situations that here is not the best map. Then i switch to osm. In my situation i use then kurviger or bmaps. For bike komoot
