I have the whole of Europe as offline map (32 GB).
But when the app updates I need to download every map again, so that's 32 GB.
isn't there a way to conserve offline maps? -
The new maps will completely replace the existing ones, while the total available storage space for maps will remain 32 GB.
To better understand how this works, think of each country’s map as a separate file. Whenever there are updates—such as new roads, or other changes—a new version of that country’s map file is created. This updated file replaces the previous version in its entirety.
It is important to note that map updates are not delivered as small incremental changes that are added to the existing files. Instead, the entire country file is replaced with a newly generated, updated version. This ensures consistency and accuracy across the whole map database.
