open tracklogs isn't possible if offline

In MyRoute-App in section "Routes & Tracklogs", I can switch between the two lists "Routes" and "Tracklogs".
If app is in offline modus, I can see all routes (if they have been synched before). But only some of them can be opened to navigate.
But this is minor issue, I will discuss later.

But if I switch to list "Tracklogs" it's empty. I believe because tracklogs will not be synched.
But why? Can this be developed in near future?
How can I proceed, if I have got a gpx file with track in, to open it in MyRoute-App. I know, I can upload to MRA website. But how can it be used in offline MyRoute-App?

I could not find articles in forum nur in manuals.

There's a good workaround, as the tracklog folder isn't displayed when offline.

Simply copy the important tracklogs into a subfolder under Routes, then you can use them offline as well.

See 2025 Edersee / Routes and the subfolders there.

Tracklogs are not synced.
Routetracks are synced.

So importing tracks within your routes (as routetrack therefore) will allow them to sync.

Syncing tracklogs just adds so much more data while rarely used offline (given the nature of all the images etc)

It's not ideal, but I don't know about the amount of data at server (incl. pictures in tracks).

Usually, if you receive a gpx about a tour, it's only a track (not a route) and without photos in.
Usually, if I use such files for tours, they are in areas without cellphone connection. Therefore I download offline maps in forefront and want to ride along the given track in the region offline.

@Guzzist, tracks you get for navigation purposes are usually routetracks, not tracklogs. The difference is in how they were created. A routetrack is generated from a pre-planned route, a tracklog is recorded during riding, and therefore has all kind of quirks you don't want while navigating it.

But you can follow the tracklog well even with a clear head and experience.

@Con-Hennekens thank our for explanation. But "tracklog" or "routetrack" are only a naming conventions inside MRA. In the gpx file there is clearly differentiated between a route "<rte>" or a track "<trk>".

Outside MRA, tracks can be record (with all kind of quirks you don't want, while navigating it) or created directly as track by several tools (without quirks).

The best answer to my question would be: if receiving a gpx file with only a track <trk> in - and you want to use it by MyRoute-App to drive along in offline modus - upload into MRA as "routetrack" in section "Routes" and let it synch.

By this and just then, it will be synched as track to mobile phone - as long as you are online. Just afterwards you can see and open it also offline (pre download necessary offline maps is contition too).
The trick is to know, to upload such a track not as tracklog into section "Tracklogs" - but as routetrack into section "Routes".
