Via Points not announced as I drive over them ?

Are there any known situations where Via Points should not be announced ? Some/most of my Via Points ARE announced when I drover over them, but not all.

I have not converted to 6.0 yet.

I had a hunch, so did some testing and seem to have found a pattern/cause .........

If I skip via point n, when I've gotten a little to close to reaching via point n + 1 (but have not yet reached n + 1), I do NOT get an announcement when I reach n + 1.

But if I had skipped n sooner, then I get the announcement when I reach n +1.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

I would also welcome feedback on whether my Audio settings could be contributing to this. Here are my settings:

Volume - mid-point

Voice prompts - ON

Audio delay - 2.0 (ie max)

Number of voice prompts per instruction - 4

Waypoint notifications - ALL

Speed warnings - Camera only

Would adjusting the delay or number of voice prompts potentially help ?

@david-38 Could it be that you have via points like that just before a turn or roundabout? Sometimes they nearly coincide with an instruction from MRA, and then the via point isn't spoken.

Here is a pic of my route:

I intentionally dont make the turn to via point 3, and if I skip vp 3 as I get closer to vp 4, vp 4 is not announced.

I ended up upgrading to 6.0, changed voice prompts from 4 to 2, and changed audio delay from 2.0 to 0.9, and now it seems to announce vp 4 even if I perform the skip vp 3 when I'm close to vp 4. Not sure if 6.0 fixed this or if the settings changes fixed it.

But seems to be working ........ but will keep an eye on this.
