Avoid roadblocks - how does it work?
-
Hi,
I am trying to understand how this new feature works or how to enable something. For me it looks like (in the moment) that only "Select distance" is working.
I should mention, though, that I'm only trying it here at home right now, so the conditions might not be right.
If I use "Select distance" the next upcoming kilometers will be newly calculated.
If I use "Select waypoint" or manual I get an error message and there is now new route.
But I am not sure how to use it correctly. What is the correct way for select WP and/or manually?

Morning,
I played around a bit more with the new feature and found the following:
Here the test route: https://www.myrouteapp.com/de/social/route/13652390?mode=share
I started the route and the navigation, after the first announcement, I open the menu and select “Roadblocks.”
Then select Waypoint
From the WP list, select WP2 - ok works from start point (my current position)
WP3 - ok works
WP4 - ok works
WP5 - Not ok errorNext - Select distance
5 km - ok
20 km - ok
25 km - ok
30 km - Not ok errorNext - Manually
Start WP3 - End WP4 - ok
Start WP4 - End WP5 - ok
Start WP5 - End WP6 - ok
Start WP5 - End WP7 - Not ok, error
Start WP5 - End WP8 - Not ok, errorThe error comes because (may be too far or too many WPs)

I can confirm there is a maximum implemented for how long a detour can be. I don't know how much, but based on your findings it looks to be 30 km. But I really don't know. I can imagine that is too short, especially in mountainesque areas.

I did some further play.
Manually
Start WP6 - End WP7 - ok
Start WP7 - End WP8 - ok
Start WP8 - End WP9 - ok
Start WP9 - End WP10 - ok
Start WP9 - End WP11 - Not ok, errorIt seems that the distance from the current location doesn't matter—only the length of the detour.
The detour must therefore be longer than 30 km.
