@Adrian-Avram I've posted some of the issues last year. No sense to start all experiments all over again, I spend weeks on it and almost became an expert....

My Samsung phone is working perfectly fine since day one in my car via AA with Waze, Google Maps, Sygic (> best AA implementation!) and MRA. But MRA with Carpuride models was, at that time, a disaster (while Waze, Google Maps and Sygic had no problems at all !)

But, on topic, I would like to know who actually tried the new Ridernav R7M | MRA | Android Auto ;-). (not carplay..)

@PieterG Since last year, 99.99% of the problems have been fixed. I can confirm that it works perfectly. I was one of the biggest critics of AA and MRA. But truly, after a lot of hard teamwork, the problems have been resolved.
Now we are expecting a major update with visual improvements at the end of this month. But the functionality is perfect.

@Con-Hennekens That's right. Thanks to the hard teamwork of Corjan and several collaborators, including myself. Changing equipment and going back to the old, soon-to-be-obsolete tablets wasn't the solution.

I can agree MRA and AA was good at the end of last year and very usable. Restarting after lunch is the only thing which can be tricky. Not always but it can be.

@M.-Schrijver Hi, thanks for responding. Do you mean MRA via AA on a Ridernav R7M of other device like Chigee aio 5 or 6 ?

MRA and AA in general. Regardless the AA/ACP device.

I would like to use MRA for Navigation on my BMW R1300GSA, but in reviews have not seen a good working setup using the Wonderwheel. Has someone experienced RiderNav R7M, Apple CarPlay, MRA for Navigation and using the BMW Wonderwheel?

Yes, I have tested MRA on the Ridernav r7m with the wonderwheel on my R1250GS and so far I'm happy with it. I use Android Auto. Have a look at this guy, Smart Rider Gadgets. He has done very good tests with the Ridernav r7m. And he got his R1300GSA yesterday and has also tested the Ridernav r7m on it via Carplay. https://youtu.be/gh1JJbbGJVA?si=0Zo9RstRjykjKiy5

I had major MRA problems using several Carpuride models via AA.

That could be also an issue with you phone and not with Carpuride devices !
Maybe you could state the problems you've had using MRA and Android Auto.

Hi Adrian, I disagree. My phone is working fine with AA in my car and these devices are not just 'mirrorring' your phone: there is software in between and every implementation is different. User interface also differs a lot (!) from the app interface on the phone. (and so are the bugs) Example: in my car, using AA, the buttons are on the left side of the screen but on the the Ridernav r7m, several Carpuride models and the Chigee aio 5 and 6, the buttons are at the buttom. I read that Chigee will soon add an extra option to choose (aio 6 only) if the buttons are below or at the side in AA. (in Carplay they are allways at the left side)

Hi everyone, I can answer the question I started this thread with: the Ridernav R7M works very well, with both Android Auto and CarPlay, as well as with the BMW Wonder Wheel and in combination with MRA. Although using the Wonder Wheel isn't as ideal as I was used to with the BMW Navigator 6: with that, I could zoom in and out by simply turning the Wonder Wheel forward or backward, and that worked instantly, quickly, and perfectly, especially if you had strayed from your route or encountered a road closureโ€”just zoom out for a moment and drive back to your route via a detour. Unfortunately, clicking a + or a - on the display is an inconvenient amount of fumbling, and that applies to all other devices, even the Chigee 5 and 6. You can buy the Ridernav R7M for around 250 euros (25% discount codes can be found on YouTube), and if I compare that to the Chigee 6, which is almost 3 times as expensive (the separate BMW adapter alone costs you 125 euros!), then you have to ask yourself if the Chigee is also 3 times as good. My answer is: Chigee is great, but certainly not 3 times better than the Ridernav R7M, which is simply very good too!
