Nav versus Gold subscription
-
I am really enjoying understanding this great piece of software!
While I evaluate it further I am trying to justify the Gold subscription to the MRA Route Planner - where the available features state 'Gold/Nav' (HERE Layers) am i correct I wouldnt have to pay for the Route Planner App as this is in included as I have a licence for the Nav App.?

MRA Routeplanner Gold and Navigation Next are 2 different things and sold separately.
MRA RP is to design and to plan
NN is to use on your bike to ride -
What i understand.
When you pay for the Navigation, i will also get acces to the free Routeplanner but with Here maps as an extra. Here maps is normal a part of the Gold subscription. -
Yes on your iPhone, iPad, Carpe Iter, you will also be able to use de MRA planner and it wil give exact het kind of subscription you have paid for ! I.o.w, Gold which means the full version.

Hi @Keith-Hofgartner it is as @M.-Schrijver says when you purchase the Navigation app that allows access to the Here Map for route calculation on the MRA website where you normally plan your routes
You don't get access to the TomTom route calculation or other Gold functionsIf you purchase a Gold subscription you get to access the additional "Toolkit" functions on the website planner

You don't need a Gold subscription if your just doing simple routes for yourself, the navigation subscription will cover most needs
If your planning multi-day trips for friends & groups then a Gold subscription is probably going to work better as you will be working on more complex routes, importing/exporting GPX files etc which the "Toolkit" functions help wrangle
Planning for groups where people have different navigation devices you really want Gold as the "Compare" function is pretty vital to ensure all of the group has a chance of staying on the same path -

The more people buy the GOLD version, the more the developers can continue to work on improving the programme.

I would say one of the most useful features of a Gold subscription is to be able to use Google Street View.

@Nick-Carthew I pretty much always had gold subscription since days of Tyre
so did not realise that was a Gold feature
Have to agree Street View functionality is extremely useful if not essential for checking routes viability
