Start route bij dichtstbijzijnde routepunt werkt niet

Ok thanks, but this setting "Start from nearest waypoint" was on (automatically) when I restarted the navigation. Could there be another reason ?

@Philippe-Veys
I’m not sure why the app wanted to start from the beginning but a long press on any waypoint will skip all previous waypoints if it should happen again. -
‘Next route point’ means:
The route point closest to my current position. This may also lead back along the route.
Or, in unfavourable circumstances, it may be the last one.
The safest option is to let MRA search for the first waypoint as the starting point and then manually select the one that suits me. That one is then activated.

RT@RainerT normally it does work like that

When restarting the route after a (coffee)break, is there no other way then to press longtime on the next waypoint ? The function « Start at closest waypoint » is really missing in this app! I’m just back from a motor tour and selecting the next waypoint didn’t work, only from Start, the app crashed finally🤨

@Philippe-Veys Are you navigating a route as track? The 5.0 release always starts at the first waypoint (before that you could select start or nearest). There are some issues related to this (which I have reported).
I dont know the implementation details but it could be wise for the app to focus first on the navigation ON the track and later try to solve the navigation TO the track.
I have the setting Automatic-recalculation set to off and it is therefore a bit strange to see that the app finds a way to the track if I am not on it at startup. -

No it is not. Before pressing "Start", tap "Route settings", there it is.
The correct way to pause a route, is to enter the menu, and tap "Stop navigation". A "Resume" button appears that always picks up where you left.If you navigate tracks or use the "Navigate route as track" feature, this is skipped indeed, since you are navigating a track. You will have to decide the point of entry yourself indeed.

Ok, I noticed that for some routes I made, I have the possibility to select Route Settings with possibility to choose Start at closest waypoint before I press Start, and for some I don’t.
What could be the reason for this ? I don't use the routes as tracks. As I recall, I always create the routes the same way.

@Philippe-Veys The ones without the option are tracks the ones with the option are routes.
P.S I deleted your duplicate post.

I don't use tracks, I only create routes in MRA Routeplanner and use them in the MRA app on my motorbike, so that can't be the reason I think.

@Philippe-Veys Are you using an A -B route?
I see the option to Start from nearest waypoint
