Version 5.0.0 - 424
@Rae-Sewell, I cannot replicate your problem. I think it is best to upgrade to 426 as it will be releases today, and check if the problem persists. Please let us know.

I have the same problem updated to 5 cannot input using the keyboard. Latest version of Android on a Pixel 9

@Jeff-u, what kind of controller are you using, and did you enable it in the keyboard settings in the app (under profile icon menu).

Feel free to share screenshots / a recording of the issue.
Is it a specific key you type that causes the problem? -

@Jeff-u, sorry, I misunderstood that. Did you update to the latest release yet (426). I own a Pixel 8, (not much difference software-wise) and cannot replicate the problem. A screen recording would be nice.

Hello Peeps I have found the answer, I use "Smart Keyboard Pro" on my phone and MRA doesn't like it. If I switch to the native Android keyboard it works.

@Rae-Sewell, Good find! Would not have thought of that. This 3rd party keyboard seems to steal focus then?

@Rae-Sewell Wow - the fact that this is possible is very interesting

Keep switching keyboards is not ideal but at least I know how to avoid the problem now.
