CarPlay move map with touch

Is it not possible to move the map through touch screen on CarPlay? Only with the button side controls?

No, it's not possible in Android Auto

@white.mouse That's incorrect.

When Android Auto supports swipe gestures on the screen, our app supports that too. Just drag the screen to move the map.

In CarPlay it is indeed not possible.

@Corjan-Meijerink Any particular reason this is not possible in CarPlay? Other apps do allow it (e.g. Waze), so it doesn't appear to be a CarPlay restriction. I think it would be a major improvement to be able to just have a quick swipe to glance around on the map

Agree! Last time I checked it was a restriction from the HERE software we used.
Perhaps it has changed over the last months but I would need to check that.

Corjan, I tested it again, but it is not possible to move the map on my Carpuride. Only zooming in and out with the buttons works.
When I try to move the map, I see some movement on the map and the "Center" button appears at the top right of the screen. But ultimately, the map doesn't move. And sometimes the map zooms in! But moving it doesn't work!
The current version in use is 5.0.0 - 418.

Corjan, ik heb het nogmaals getest maar op mijn Carpuride is het niet mogelijk om de kaart te verschuiven. Enkel in en uitzoomen met de knoppen werkt.
Als ik probeer de kaart te verschuiven dan zie ik wel enige beweging op de kaart en verschijnt recht boven in het scherm de knop "Centreren". Maar uiteindelijk verschuift de kaart niet. En soms zoomt de kaart dan ook in! maar verschuiven lukt niet!
De huidige gebruikte versie is 5.0.0 - 418

This issue should be fixed in the next beta version (so not in 420)!
But please do not provide beta feedback in threads related to the current release version

Dat laatste was mij niet bekend. Volgens mij werkte het in de laatste release bij mij ook niet! Mijn excuses

@white.mouse, no need to say sorry You are right, it did not work in previous versions too. But you are mentioning an app version that is not available to the general public, hence the question to post those things in the beta forum. I know it can be confusing sometimes
