WebPlanner routes backup?
-
Hi Team,
Regading system outage, there is any way in plane to make a "local" backup of all rutes on hard-drive (or other system)?
I know some mates that are very upset with a (possible) lost of their work.
Is not that we distrust on webplanner system, I supose you have this also in mind, but it could be an additional backup layer.
Is not a GPX export only, I’m thinking in a personal full database backup.
Not sure this is in plan or I’m fool to think that my routes could be lost.
At least.. someone had to say it
Best regadrs And keep working!

I think a local database of your routes in MRA-format is like selling the crownjewels voor MRA. I really don't know if any other app let you store your routes other than in gpx- or other well known format.

The problem will be the MRA's own format. With GPX, you only have the pure geo data and no other information (such as text or images).
I don't know if all this data is transferred when synchronizing with the app on the smartphone.
If so, you basically have a backup. -

If so, you basically have a backup.Sorry, I wouldn't call it as "backup". Sure, if you have switched on synch in the App, all routes are there; and usable also offline. Also additional text in each routepoint is offline available. Only pictures which have been attached to a routepoint are not available offline.
Just if the route and then, the routepoint has been opened in the App - if the app is online - just then, the picture will be loaded. Further on - if the app is offline again - this picture in the routepoint is available. Means: you need to open the app, the route and each routepoint if the app is online - just then, the pictures are really and ongoing available in the App.
Fazit: synch will synch everything, but not pictures which are attached to a routepoint.
And on Android Smartphone, I wasn't able to localise this picture. It is anywhere inside the App.
