MRA decided on a different route?

Last week I was out in the car following a route that I've down before. At one point MRA unexpectedly told me to turn at an up-coming intersection. I thought it was strange since I had not gone that way before but like a good boy I turned. Before I could do anything, MRA started to give me what appeared to be about turn instructions. while trying to figure that out MRA did a recalculate, skipped waypoint 20 and then proceeded on a new route. As you can see from the following picture the blue line tracklog deviates from the black route line. I have no idea as to why MRA decided to deviate from the planned route. I have used this same route several times with no issues.
