SilverFox C1 button not working in MRA
-
I purchased a SilverFox C1 controller. It's connected to my Samsung galaxy tab active 3.
It works partiallyI set the C1 to F2 mode, according to the MRA support page.
The MRApp is set to use SilverFox in the input settings menu.In F2 mode, the left button works fine (button 2 according to the support page). So, I can zoom in and out, and change the map view (north up etc).
During navigation, if I long press its right button, the navigation menu opens (with stop navigation, lock screen etc).Button 1 however does not work at all im MRA. So I cannot pan/move the map. And in a MRA menu I cannot move up and down.
Silverfox controller problems can be ruled out. In F1 mode, both buttons work perfectly in Waze, including pan. So, only MRA has a problem.
Any ideas?

@Makro dus you update the module from the Silverfox site. That could solve the problem

Yes I also updated the firmware to the latest version 1.1 to see if that solved it. Nothing changed.

Yes via Bluetooth

What do the buttons show as "output" when going to this site: https://jaxeadv.com/barbuttons/keypress-tester/
- Open the website
- Connect SilverFox
- Press buttons
I am curious what the panning joystick (the one that does not work) outputs in F2 mode.

It's a bit weird.
In F2, only button 2 (the one working with MRA) sends characters to that web site. Button 1 clicks are not registered on the Web site.In F1 none of the buttons register anything. But as mentioned previously, both buttons work fine in F1 with Waze. So the C1 does send some keys in F1 mode, but these are not registered on the Web site.

@Makro Hi Marco,
I have a different problem with my C1 controller (the first joystick doesn't work when zooming out)
All other tasks are performing perfectly.
The second panning stick works in all directions.
I also think that MRA could be the source of the problem.I have a ticket on this and Corjan knows my case.
I have documented all clicks with the two sticks as screenshots and stored them in the ticket.
Maybe you can also take screenshots of the respective clicks and send them to Corjan.
Maybe Corjan can narrow down the error and fix it.

I just realized how to fix this. Well not entirely.
The SilverFox Buttons app say I need to enable the accessibility service in Android. So I did this before testing MRA. If I had not done so, MRA would work fine.
This is located in Settings, accessibility, installed apps, Controller Accessibility.
Enabling this has some implications. MRA does not work properly, and the onscreen web key logger (Corjans link) does not register all clicks. So I can use either Buttons app or MRA, but not both. Unless I change the accessibility setting in between.

So disabling that Android setting was the fix? Now it works as expected?
