MRA is only speaking with French accent??

For some reason MRA is now only speaking with a French accent to me. The audio settings are Google.android.tts and English UK voice. No matter what voice I set I can only hear a french voice trying to speak English.
Had anyone had that problem and how can I fix it?Moto Guzzi V85 TT. MRA on my Pixel 8 (Android 15) and occasionally a TomTom Rider.

Fortunately I have Acapela TTS Voices installed on my phone - good, clear voices and much louder than Google TTS.
I just wanted to try the Google voices again to see if the volume issue has been solved, but now it only speaks French, and my French is not good enough.Moto Guzzi V85 TT. MRA on my Pixel 8 (Android 15) and occasionally a TomTom Rider.

Haven't heard of them before. Interesting.

Have you tried changing English voices? Some of them might work for you.

I had a similar issue last year where I could not select/change the voice option, it was stuck with a nasally american accent
I could see lots of other voice accent options but none of them could be selected & would stick, it always reverted to the american accent
In the end to resolve the issue I had to completely uninstall the google TTS voice & reset it all up again from scratch -
