Looking for a Route from Roermond to Ijmuiden, Netherlands?
-
Hi All,
I have been a member for quite a few years now and never got around to posting anything until now. I have been travelling back through the Netherlands up to catch my ferry at Ijmuiden for quite a few years now, motorways, and never go around to take any detours through the Country. I have planned quite a few routes through Europe, but when it comes to the Netherlands I seem to hit a brick wall.
Could or does anyone have a route that would include nice scenery such as the Dykes etc? I have looked online but trying to understand and plan the route seems to be beyond me.
TA Steve

Some thing like this:

@steve-2k Where do you want to start and how much time may it take?

@Rob-Veerman Hi Rob,
We are staying in Roermond but need to get to the ferry terminal in Ijmuiden for around 15.00 hrs.
We usually take the Highways but though it saves time can be very boring. We would like to take in any hidden Jems that may be available enroute?TA Steve

@steve-2k Wasn't an early riser today, but will figure out something for you (unless you're already on the road).

Just to be sure to arrive in time. Take the highway to Utrecht, then you could take this route that follows some nice little rivers and countryside and avoids Amsterdam City. No problem if you don't, it didn't cost much time to make, I know the area well https://www.myrouteapp.com/route/open/11441031
