Finding stops,coffee fuel etc when planning a new route

Good evening please excuse my ignorance regarding route planning but how do you find coffee stops and fuel stops etc when designing a new route.I fully understand the way point thing getting from A to B but it’s finding the places to stop in between thankyou .

 Did you already try the standard Points of intrest in the left column?

 I do use the Google overlay a lot. Specially because of the icon of the photo camera. That is often a point of interest. When I see that I use the option of streetview to take a look.
 An extra indication and indicator can be the blue dots neer that icon. Many dots means many pictures published by users
