Can anyone please explain why when I create a route on my PC with both shaping and waypoints, and then look at the same route on my Iphone14, the route shows with some differences in roads/route taken, also why on the app it shows as being based on a car rather than than a motorcycle (which was the option on the PC) (and strangely when I download the route onto my Garmin Nav6, it shows the oddball route from the app, rather than the route I planned on my PC

These anomalies are making it very confusing when sharing one route between group riders, and causing some very strange routes to be generated. I now find myself doubting the route shown on my SatNav, and am having to double check and adjust every time I download a route to make sure they match

@Dave-Hawke Do you know if you created the route in the Here map? I suspect you might have used OpenStreetMap for that. In that case, the route on your phone might appear differently. The navigation component also relies on the Here map. I even believe your second remark confirms this suspicion.

@Rob-Verhoeff Actually Rob, I created the route using the HERE map, and then once complete, compared it against the TomTom map (as I find that that can iron out some "route changes" between the 2 Sat Navs.

This all used to work ok, its just over the last couple of months that I'm finding discrepancies between the app and the PC version of MyRouteApp so much so, that I'm now at the stage of having to double check that the route loaded to my Sat Nav directly from MyRouteApp actually does reflect the route I've planned.
