Show Route option problems
-
So, for the last 6 days the Show Route option (via the three dots) has worked perfectly, or as I think it should i.e. when you press Show Route, it shows a route overview. If you press nothing else then after a few seconds it reverts to the main navigation view.
Yesterday, all day, despite force quitting the app and re-opening it multiple times and also restarting the phone, when I pressed Shoe Route, it showed the overview, but it did not go back to the main navigation view, it stayed on Show Route.
If I force quit the app and re-opened it, the main navigation screen was wrong about 60% of the time. The map was moving, so I knew it was tracking my movements, but the route was off the edge of the screen and the location arrow (where you are) was off the screen. Sometimes I could see a little piece of the blue route at the bottom right of the screen.
I had to keep quitting and re-opening the app until I got the correct view.

You can activate the show route option by long pressing the Compass button.
Then a single click on Compass will take you back to the navigation cursor. -
@Tom-Grzelinski, I cannot reproduce this. Even when you open the show route function through the menu, a tap on the compass sends you back to navigating. it also recenters the flyer. Licke @Lynchy67 says, the longpress on the compass is a safer method for showing the route while driving.

Thank you both, I will try this tomorrow
I managed to trick it today by going to Show Route, then zooming in to my arrow, then after a few seconds the view changed to the navigation view.

Thank you, pressing the compass works perfectly fo Show Route
However, I am still getting the problem of the route being off the edge of the screen sometimes. If I scroll the map, my arrow is there, pointing the right way and moving, but then it re enters, off the screen again! This happened twice today.
I anm up in the mountains and valleys of the Alps, so my only thought is that MyRoute-app is not reading the GPS location properly? When this happens, Waze has a correct location on the screen, so I know the correct GPS location is getting to the iPhone.
Cheers,

I don't think that's what makes a difference. GPS is either off or not. The difference is made in the app, how it is programmed to extrapolate the probable location based on the map, when GPS is found inaccurate. My zumo often showed being off-road too in mountainesque areas. However the "running off screen" you experienced, I have not seen (yet).
