It's party time!

I'm back from vacation and programming goes way better after driving for a couple thousand km with friends To celebrate this burst of productivity, a new beta version is coming your way!

The update will be available somewhere between today & tomorrow.

Motorhome & motorcycle support
The website has just been updated to facilitate motorhomes & motorcycles within the MRA Routeplanner (see announcement). Obviously the app needs to support this too!

You can now choose these travel modes within the app and even directly edit your vehicle dimensions! About this feature itself cannot be written a lot of fancy things, just be amazed by all the functionalities and now different vehicles we support within one app!

The selected travel mode applies to your tracklog and generated routes. When navigating a selected route, the travel mode of that route is used.

We therefore updated the route / track information screen to clearly display the travel mode. You'll also see that the list of routes / tracks also show the travel mode icon (rather than a generic icon)

Automatic light / dark mode
Who doesn't hate a bright screen when driving at night?
We've added a new automatic theme to the navigation module to ensure the app switches to dark whenever it's night time or you're driving through a tunnel!

New way of presenting waypoint information
A frustration for many! The top left instruction would be displaying a waypoint rather than the actual (crucial) route information. We've therefore ensured that waypoints aren't displayed there anymore.

You can choose if waypoint info needs to be displayed (off / via / all) and when done so, it will be displayed like above. For viapoints the title / description will be shown when within 2km and for shaping points, when you are within 750m.

Fastest / shortest route
Choose between navigating the fastest or shortest route. Fastest is always default. When loading a route from the website, that choice will be honoured.

Edit favorites from the app
Yes! Finally! Now you can just rename a favorite from the app

Simplified map added
We aim to add even more map styles in the future. For now, we've added an extra official HERE map style, the simplified map. This one has different colour contrasts and shows less information. Obviously all crucial information will still be displayed.

Zoom correction and improved zooming
Do you believe the app is zoomed in too much? Or not enough? Simply apply more or less zoom correction!

We also ensured that when driving fast or on the highway, the app zooms out slightly more than before

Updated settings
More settings to configure all these features!

CarPlay / Android Auto changes
Quite some new features too!
You can now:

Search for a destination
Select favorites
Quick POI suggestions
See recent searches
In Android Auto you can start navigating with "Hey Google..."

Bugfixes / minors

Adding images from gallery
Stability regarding your login status within the app (sometimes you would see a login page when accessing favorites directly after launching the app / while in a bad reception area)
When camera warning is displayed, the buttons are no longer unreachable
Tracklog line slightly thinner
Navigation can be resumed when you do not have internet (and you started navigation with internet)

Google location services issue Android
An initial fix is released in this version but we do still expect some problems when these services are completely unavailable. To those who know what I'm talking about, please report back on this forum

Wow wat een gave update weer! Knap werk en gaaf dat er veel aangedragen functies worden toegevoegd!

Heb een vraag over de genoemde weergave van de shaping en via punten: Hoe zit het met de audio hiervan? Is dat (nog) hetzelfde als voorheen of loopt dat gelijk met de weergave instelling? Graag zou ik hier alleen de viapunten zien en horen

Dat is onveranderd. Bij de audio instellingen kan je de notificatie van een waypoint wijzigen in uit / via / alle.

We gaan op zeer korte termijn zorgen dat deze aankondigingen gelijk lopen met de tekst / beschrijving

Tussen punt 2 en 3 zit een tunneltje waar ik volgens MRA wel langs kan maar mijn camper toch echt 50 cm te hoog voor is. Heb in mijn instellingen mijn camper gegevens correct ingevoerd.
Hoe komen jullie aan de gegevens van dit soort tunneltjes? Dit tunneltje is hier berucht omdat er regelmatig campers en bestel busjes vast zitten.
Verder niets dan lof.

Fouten kunnen hier gemeld worden: https://mapfeedback.here.com/#/report Grappig dat het een berucht punt is. Dan is HERE niet de enige met onjuiste gegevens.

@Corjan-Meijerink I see that you will be looking into the voice instructions soon.
I use a Cardo Scala Packtalk and when traveling alone the voice instructions are perfectly clear and loud enough. When I am connected to Hannah the intercom is not interrupted to receive navigation instructions, the instructions can be heard but they are very quiet, too quiet to recognise. Both of our Cardo units have GPS instructions set as main audio source. It appears that the Cardo units are not receiving a signal from the app to shut the f@)k up
I’m hoping that you will find time to look into this as I know that I’m not the only Cardo user to experience this. X 🥷

By this statement I guess slightly more

Travel mode is set at the planning stage. Open the route in the app and click the edit button, the route is now open via the website. Click the Show route details tab at the bottom and then click Route information to change Transport mode.

Why would you need to modify every route? Your routes have been ok up until now!
As stated in another topic, changing transport mode to motorcycle would have very little affect.

Do I understand correctly that the camper transport mode can only be used for routes and not for a-b routing?
