How to deal with unexpected road closures

Yesterday, while touring Wales we encountered an unexpected road closure. Luckily we were travelling with the lead developer of MyRoute-app @Corjan-Meijerink and he was able to solve the problem. No changes or updates were required, just brute strength.
@Nick-Carthew, I think @Corjan-Meijerink deserves a statue!

I ticked this option in the Navigation settings -> Functional menu, but I didn't see him anywhere in the Peaks yesterday:
- Developer travels with you
I'm glad that feature is working well for you, Nick, but there must be a problem with the multitasking aspect of that option.
I think I'm going to have to submit a bug report. - Developer travels with you
