Android - Track Recording App Crash

Build 4.02 - 203. I have had the app crash several times when navigating a route and recording a track (set to not show in settings). There had been no input from me, and I was not approaching any waypoints or direction change - long motorway section. Navigation had been performing well for over 20 mins prior to the app crashing.
On restarting the app, I received the correct prompt to resume track recording, but the navigation screen and route did not load correctly with just a grey screen showing with the 'loading' spinning circle showing that the app was trying to do something and not frozen. However, subsequent restarts caused the same issue until I selected not to resume track log recording and then the route loaded correctly, and navigation resumed correctly.
I provide the route that I was using, and it was between waypoints 3 and 4 where this track recording crash problem occurred on 3 occasions. As an aside. there were significant traffic issues on the 5-mile approach to Waypoint 4 refuel. No more instances happened when I turned recording off although at this point of the route I was no longer on a long straight section.
