Perfect app for navigation
-
Today I drove a route of just over 130 kilometers around my hometown, just to test the basic functionalities once again. They work perfectly! I can't say anything else but that I was able to navigate the entire route without a single problem. Voice instructions and route guidance were spot on. At the beginning of my route, it smoothly guided me around a road closure. Only once did a local traffic enforcer mess up a part of my route. In that case, I simply found a quiet spot, took a look at the map, and figured out the most convenient direction to pick up the rest of the route. Instead of turning left once, I made three right turns and I was back on track.
Is there nothing to improve at all? Of course, there is! But most of the things that need improvement are features that users would like to be able to customize themselves.
If Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are addressed in the near future, I can confidently say that this app has the potential to become a market leader...
Kudos to the development team !

After riding in Eifel for three days, I can only agree. Navigation Next did not miss a single waypoint. It used "traffic aware routing" to avoid road closures on multiple occasion (the amount of road maintenance in Eifel is still exorbitant btw...).
In my opinion there a few priority things to improve
- Audio ducking does not seem to work on Android, and the voice is not loud enough compared to music.
- Traffic aware routing is great, but it would be nice to get notifications about it.
- Downloading offline maps and updates still need to improve
- And for some obviously the battery drain is an issue. Personally I donรฝ have that problem.
