No Desktop function with Apple Pencil on iPad?
-
Hi, why is it not possible to use Pencil on iPad with MRA?
Neither with the Safari browser, nor with Chrome or Firefox. All three are working in Desktop mode, but the pencil has not the function like a mouse to set INTERIM POINTS (waypoint between others). With a mouse it is working.Firefox
Chrome
Safari

@Jörgen For me it works fine. iPad 11 Pro and Apple pencil 2.

Just for clarity sake your screenshots are not actually showing the full Desktop view as you do not have the menus visible.
It should look like my example below.I agree however that it does not work with the Apple Pencil.
The Touch Pad however works great for inserting waypoints. -
What settings are you using for the Apple Pencil?
-
@Lynchy67 I have to clarify my answer from above. When I creating waypoints I use the crosshair cursor and tap the place a waypoint button below. But for the manipulation of waypoints or for placing additional waypoints within a route then I use my Pencil.
-
Ah ok.
I’ll stick with the Trackpad method. -
Ok, Will check my Pen settings.
Regarding menus, you're right it should look different (like on yours or my Windows PC) but there is no change if I switch between desktop and mobile view.
I want to have like on Windows PC, if you click in between waypoints on the route you get the black dot with + sign.
Reinhard, do you have this? And what settings?
-
You need to use the actual top level browser zoom settings for the Desktop View to become available.

the actual top level browser zoom settings
What is this? And where?
-
Unfortunately, I set this up many years ago and after many updates, I do not see these top level browser settings available any more.
-
I personally find the browser zoom level at which the menus disappear and become “page menu “ quite frustrating.
My wife has the newest MacBook Air and with the default zoom the menus disappear. If she zooms out (makes things smaller) the menus appear but the text is really small. I think with the size of the screen on the MacBook the page menu really shouldn’t appear.
To add to the frustration, as you move your cursor down the options in the pages menu -> toolkit menu the various submenus auto expand and move the thing you were looking for

@Jörgen
These are the settings on the PC that used to be available for the iPad also.
Had to switch to my iOS account as my Android account was not allowing the jpeg even though it was under 2mb -
