Suggestion - Voice Guidance
-
I used Navigation Next in the car today, and I think it is a big improvement! I particularly like the ability to skip waypoints from the main screen. Good job.
Apologies if this has been discussed before, but is there going to be a choice of voices for guidance in future versions? The current voice is, if anything, worse than the standard Navigation app...

@David-Bonner Happy to hear you are enjoying the app! Voice configuration is something that will be addressed in a later update (before the launch).

@Corjan-Meijerink Excellent, thanks. I think this will be a big improvement.

To add to this suggestion:
Maybe it's an idea to make it choosable where the voice is audible. I like the example of Flitsmeister, which gives you the choice to hear the voice over the bluetooth connection or from the phone speaker itself. No valid option for motorists but surely a nice option for car drivers. With this option the navigation voice does not interfere with the car audio, even if it is playing Spotify over Bluetooth. At first I thought "Why...!", But I really came to appreciate that, and the voice is very audible coming from another direction as the car audio. -
@Con-Hennekens That is definitely one of the configuration options we like to add!

@Corjan-Meijerink, NICE! I will prepare a speaker in the headrest of the passenger seat, where my wife usually sits...

Thank you for raising this - having only had limited beta testing time so far, the low / poor quality audio description has been the major issue for me.
I drive an open top car, and use Bluetooth headphones for the audio, as the wind and engine noise is (fabulously) loud! The clarity on MRA Navigation was excellent, and the beta test audio is a huge step backwards, so it is good to read that things will get better before it gets launched.
