@Piet-Bouwens, of dat prima functioneert ligt aan je definitie van prima denk ik. De HERE kaart is in elke geval niet consequent en niet volledig met vrij-liggende fietspaden en dergelijke. Laat staan met de voor wandelaars en fietsers zeer wenselijke topografische elementen. Dat zou overigens wel iets kunnen zijn wat bij elke kaartversie verbeterd. Dus op dit moment wellicht beter dan vorig jaar bijvoorbeeld. Ik verzin dat niet zelf overigens, dat heb ik uit de eerste hand van het MRA dev team. Misschien kan @Corjan-Meijerink dat voor me bevestigen. De oude app is volgens mij nooit gepropageerd voor TbT navigatie van fiets en wandelroutes (hoewel die modi er inderdaad wel in zitten). In de nieuwe App kun je deze routes perfect navigeren, middels de Follow the Line navigatie die op de meeste outdoor toestellen ook zeer gebruikelijk is (een functie die overigens niet nieuw is, die zit er al lang in). Voor het plannen van fiets en wandelroutes adviseer ik overigens om gebruik te maken van OpenStreetMap kaart. Die is naar mijn idee veel completer voor dat doel. En dan kun je die routes ook prima exporteren als track, voor navigatie op outdoor toestellen. Er is overigens wel een goede kans dat TbT voor wandelaars en fietsers alsnog wordt toegevoegd op een later moment.

Seasonal closures are not passed to your device. In fact no navigation settings at all are passed to your device (with MRA Mobile as an exception). You need to configure your settings in your device equal to those in your route, or better, in the planner fix your route to comply to the default route settings. Usually that means more waypoints. I don't think a zumo has seasonal closures at all, does it? An other option is to delete the trip after sending it to your zumo, and create a new trip form the track. You will lose the WP's but the route will comply to the original one.

@Con-Hennekens @Reinier007 in bergachtig gebied wandel ik met de MyRoute-app Outdoor kaart. Daarop zie je ook de hoogtelijnen. Hier in NL kan je gewoon de OSM-kaart gebruiken. Daarop vind je de meeste wandel- of fietspaden. Al geregeld gedaan en het volgen van de pijl werkt gewoon prima. Zorg wel voor een batterypack als backup!

@Doug-Robinson I don't believe "slow internet" is an issue. Surely such a large map supplier as HERE must be close to a backbone?

@Ck-Hos This behavier is always the case when you importing a GPX route to your ZumoXT. The Zumo makes a new calculation from waypoint to waypoint, all along the route with the routing setup from the unit. The Garmin routing algorithm is different from MRA or other route planning tools and is using the Here map. Therfore you should ad many routing points to your route and use the Here map. As a MRA gold member use toolkit, expand for this task. The ZumoXT can handle up to nearly 200 routing points witout alarm (garmin speech). So for a 200 km route I expand to approximately 50 waypoints.

@Peter-Top Tracking can be done with either the navigation app or mobile app. No need for a Gold account.

Een route verdelen in meerdere gelijke delen kan met de optie 'Route splitsen' uit het Toolkit-menu. Heb je een route van 300km en wil je die in drie delen van ongeveer 100km splitsen, dan kun je eenvoudig de punten aangeven in het gepresenteerde overzicht met routepunten. Die delen worden dan opgeslagen in je overzicht met als toevoeging (1), (2) en (3) achter de routenaam. Deze optie is wel een Gold-functie.

@Fred-Gilbert there is no such thing as "Navigation" friends, but instead just friends overall. You cannot place routes in your friends account, but your friends can find the routes and open them from your account if you've set the privacy setting of those routes, including the FOLDER(!) where the routes are located, to "Friends". Note that friends can also click "Use this route" when they've opened your route from your account. Doing so copies the route to their own account. This is mandatory of your friend wants to navigate it with the current MRA Navigation app Note that the new MRA Navigation Next (Beta) does not require a route to be copied to your own account anymore, since one can directly navigate a friend's route from their account from what I've recently noticed in the Next app.
