@Neil-q, Of course you can do what @Lex.Kloet.RX explained. But beware to check the route and route points. Move route points ON the road, and away from crossings and roundabouts. It can be helpful the add the generated track to the planning windows, so you can easily see any detours from the original track. For this, click on the three-lines-menu in the left column and choose "routes", click add, and browse to the original track that was generated.
On the other hand, you can of course also navigate the track instead, and skip the hard work The distance and duration of a track will play no part in the navigation of that track, it is just some metadata in the file. I indeed notice that it gives 0 km and 0 hours...
