@Sjoerd-de-Vries Helaas komt dit gedrag nog wel voor ja... Maar, de ontwikkelaars zitten er bovenop. Wel vervelend dat nu het seizoen weer begint dit gedrag soms nog de kop op steekt.

Thanks guys and please ignore previous post. I updated the IOS on the old phone then updated myrouteapp as suggested and now I am on the most up to date myrouteapp version on my old phone. Thanks for your help here.

@Stanley-2 I too am a long term garmin user since my 2004 Streetpilot 2610!! I regularly use a Zumo 340 390 on my 22 year old r1150gs and an XT with my Africa twin. The XT drove me nuts for a while but starting the route on the unit then saving current route cures most of its foibles I like the Route planner and had a succesful trip to northern Spain last year using it on an ipad and transfering routes to the XT using Garmin Drive. Saved me carrying a laptop to use Basecamp (which I like). The MRA nav app is getting better (the latest iteration does not seem to cook your phone) But for AA OSMand is a bit further along at the moment (in my view) that said using it is a bit of a learing curve and the route planning aspect of it is fiddly. For point to point navigation google maps is great and by pressing the AA mic button you can navigate by voice through a bluetooth headset.

@John-S-Parry, no sweat. Me too learned that lots of people do not share my view, due to my view being limited to my own use case and methods. Nowadays I often ask explicitly to other people's methods, and discover that a lot of suggestions are actually very worthwhile if you look from their perspective. One never stops learning

Still getting the same issue's as above, when connected in the car. Would uninstalling Android Auto, and then reinstaling it make any difference. I'm using a good quality usb cable as well. However when I'm out on the bike, and using the App, it's perfect. Both with mobile data, and using the downloaded route, and offline maps

@R-Vankooij Dat zelf plannen van je route kan prima in de webplanner. Er zijn genoeg wegen die naar Castellane leiden in dit geval... In de Toolkit van de webplanner kan je ook bepaalde wegen uitsluiten (waaronder snel- en tolwegen). Zo te zien rij je in Frankrijk dan meestens over de Route National.

@Marjea Wellicht "onthoudt" Carplay welke app als laatste is gebruikt. Probeer in Carplay bv Google maps op te starten en vervolgens carplay disconnecten en opnieuw connecten.

@RetiredWingMan, That's great But I still think "Turn right" without a streetname would suffice. However I grew accustomed to the names being spoken, and think it is fine. Where I really don't need them, is when they occupy screen-estate

@Frank-Op-t-Eijnde connecten met je CP-systeem in de auto lijkt mij. Daarna zie je het icoon van MRA ook in CP terug. Op de website van Apple zie ik trouwens dat zij alleen de F-type modellen 2019-2023 ondersteunen. Of de website van Apple loopt achter of het kan echt niet met jouw auto. Heb je CP al eens gebruikt met andere apps?

did a force stop of the app. This time when I started the map download I got the usual style circle progress indicator and download of Wales completed in about a minute. Thanks

@marc-van-der-heijden, als de voortgangsbalk weg is, is de update geslaagd. De melding "Update gestart" verdwijnt inderdaad niet, dat heb ik ook gemerkt. Maar als je een stap terug gaat, en opnieuw de offline kaart in duikt, zie je dat er geen update meer is. Plus uiteraard die melding die ik je hierboven aangaf. Het kan dus mooier, expliciet de melding "Update gestart" veranderen in "Update geslaagd", maar al met al denk ik dat er voldoende aanknopingspunten zijn om te weten dat de update klaar is.

@Ad-V, Fiets- en wandel routes gaan niet via de HERE Turn-by-Turn navigatie module. Je kunt op de (OSM) kaart wel de routelijn volgen.

I ended up removing the app and reinstalling it. I then downloaded all the offline maps a few at a time with no issues. Thank you!
