There have been a lot of treads with regards to navigation volume too low (including my own ones). This has been an issue for a very long time. I don't know where the issue lies but I have finally solved the problem (for me). I wanted to share with you what I have done. It's very simple actually.
It seems that the Google TTS (Text-to-Speech) engine doesn't like third party apps (MRA) and keeps them at a lower volume than its own apps (Maps).

All you need to do is to install this TTS engine and select it in MRA under the Audio settings. It's Open Source, free and works a treat.

There are plenty of voices to choose from. You can adjust the volume in the TTS settings (mine is set to 1 which is perfect).
It's free and works out of the box.
Problem solved (for me 😉 )

NOTE: this is only applicable for Android users!

Moto Guzzi V85 TT. MRA on my Pixel 8 (Android 16) and occasionally a TomTom Rider.

Hi @Marinus-van-Deudekom , yes, the Google TTS used to be the default, but it always was too low volume . On Google Maps the navigation voice is loud enough but on MRA it's not good. With SherpasTTS the volume is now perfect. Especially when the ambient noise is high (ie, rain or wind) I need a bit of volume reserve.

@Stephane-30 I’ll give it a try, not to improve the volume but to hear other voices
