Major GPS Delay in v4.3.9 – Map Location 30–60 Seconds Behind
-
I’d like to highlight a serious problem with myRouteApp Navigation (version 4.3.9). While using the app for turn-by-turn navigation, I’m frequently experiencing significant delays—primarily with the on-screen location tracking. In some cases, the map lags behind my actual position by 30 to 60 seconds, which makes real-time navigation extremely difficult.
Voice instructions are slightly more reliable, but still often delayed, which adds to the confusion—especially when riding, where timing is crucial for decision-making.
This isn’t a minor inconvenience; it seriously affects the app’s usability. With a European motorcycle tour coming up next week, I’m now uncertain whether I can trust the app for route guidance.
I’d appreciate any updates or advice—has anyone else encountered this, or is there a known fix?

@F-Nick I have absolutely never heard of this issue, especially on iPhone. Position delay (not this magnitude) was sometimes an issue on Android devices but solved a long while back.
I’d try checking your location permissions, optionally reinstalling the app or opening another app that uses GPS in the background. That last idea is because other apps can influence the stream of position updates the OS passes on. This often worked for the issue on Android I mentioned before.
But as said, this is quite an unknown issue for iOS

Yes I do but different setting. AA with Carpuride and Android phone. Often after a stop and or when the phone gets to hot and MRA next app keeps searching for location.
Also on tour in Europa and fell back to Calimoto because of this. Tomorrow going to try again on just phone and some cooler weather in Italië (20 degrees).
Curious what tomorrow brings, otherwise there always is Calimoto as last resort -
It always a good idea when navigation to have your phone mounted in the open air. This helps cooling your phone. When navigating your phone runs hot. How hot depends on the app.
